Advertising in the home builder market has been the same for… well, forever. Every TVC and brochure consists of a happy couple in a pretty home. Nothing stands out. So when given a retail brief for Dennis Family Homes, we saw an opportunity to do something different. Something with a unique tone that would not only make their offer stand out from competitors, but the brand itself.

IDEA

The wattlebird bird has been part of the Dennis Family homes logo since the beginning. But it had never been used anywhere else. So for this campaign we uncaged the bird and gave it fresh set of wings. Using simple black line drawings and animation, we set the DFH bird free across every asset. So now when someone sees a bright yellow background and the wattlebird, they know it’s an ad from Dennis Family Homes.

IMPACT

The new style was welcomed not only by customers, but by the whole internal team at Dennis Family Homes. Due to its immediate success, the retail offer was extended several more times and has led to a whole new look and feel for the brand.
